How To Earn Money By Working At Home
I’ll show you how to earn money by working at home. You can wake up on Monday morning and not feel the obligation to get out of bed and rush off to work.
I know I felt that way when I was working a typical 9-5 job. Actually, my last job was a bit more than that even. I actually had strange hours and obligations that were even more intrusive than what most jobs were.
Often times, I had to go out of town for weeks at a time. There were plenty of times when I had to come in early, stay late, or even head in to work on the weekends from time to time.
Thus are some of the disadvantages of having a management position. It’s also those disadvantages that were constantly nagging me and giving my thoughts of wondering if there was something better?
There had to be something better, right?
Well, or course there is. I just didn’t realize it at the time. I needed to learn how to earn money by working at home.
As Luck Would Have It…
That last job that I had ended up disappearing all on it’s own. That was both good news and bad because now I was scrambling to find something else to support my family.
I knew that I didn’t want to go back to the same misery that I had experienced before by just signing on with another employer.
What I really wanted to do was go into business for myself. I wanted to work from home, on a business of my own, and not have a boss to report to and micromanage me.
I had to figure out how to earn money by working at home on a business that would give myself and my family the freedom that we were really looking for.
The Unlikely Solution
The solution I was looking for eventually presented itself to me in the form of something called “Affiliate Marketing”. At the time, I didn’t really know what it was, and honestly, I didn’t really pay much attention to it at the time. I actually didn’t know the full potential of the business, and that it was ultimately my ticket to earn money by working at home.
Eventually though, I ended up doing a bit of research on what that topic actually meant. I was curious, so I wanted to explore the opportunity to see if it was a direction that I really wanted to head into.
I really wanted to learn how to earn money by working at home, on my own schedule. I wanted something that had low overhead, low risk, and low maintenance costs.
When I really dug into what Affiliate Marketing actually meant, I was surprised to find out that it met all of my requirements to the letter.
It really seemed too good to be true! I was still skeptical, so I proceeded forward with caution. Most things that seem to go to be true are just that – too good to be true!
My Research Findings
What I discovered is that Affiliate Marketing would indeed give me exactly what I was looking for in an alternative stream of income.
- It’s very cheap to build an online business.
- I could earn money by working at home – in my underwear. (Another plus)
- The overhead is non-existent
- There’s little-to-no risk whatsoever
- The income occurs automatically whenever a payment is made
- An online business requires very little maintenance
- I can run the business from anywhere in the world

After months of searching and exploring dead-end opportunities, I eventually found the solution I was looking for. I was referred to a website that claimed to the be end-all, be-all authority for showing people how to set up and monetize an Affiliate Marketing business.
That website is called Wealthy Affiliate. Incidentally, they are also the company that has become my top pick for people who are also looking to get their start in the business. If you’re interested in starting your own online business, I would invite you to read my review of Wealthy Affiliate.
So, I enrolled with them, and began just soaking up all of the knowledge I could handle. In fact, there’s so much great information available there that it was actually quite overwhelming at first, but I will certainly say that there’s no better place to go if you are serious about wanting to earn money by working at home. Literally – no better place for good information and community.

This is one that most people kinda skip over. I admit that this is one area that I missed initially. The bottom line here is that you have to build your website with mobile devices in mind. Essentially a huge chunk of the traffic you get will come from people who are navigating your website with a phone or tablet. If your website does not display correctly for these devices than you are losing out on a massive chunk of traffic potential. The main thing here is to know from the beginning if your website or WordPress theme is “responsive”. This means that the website will automatically adapt itself to display correctly on the devices that your traffic is viewing the website upon.
Working From Home Is Tough!
Even though the options are many that you can use to take your website to the next level, it can take some time and some hard work to really get your website firing on all cylinders.

The reality sounds nice doesn’t it? Unfortunately, the other side of reality is that you have to work hard to make your website work the way you want it to. Most people will give up on their dream of learning how to make money by working at home with their website – but the unfortunate thing is that they were probably a lot closer to success than they realize!
Earning money from a website while working from home is something that many people want to do. It’s certainly something that is achievable, but you have to work at it consistently and methodically to be able to really monetize a website.
I know from my own experience how challenging it can be. The part that is most difficult is in the beginning because that’s when you are working really hard for a period of time but you aren’t really seeing any results yet either. It’s easy to feel like you are working for nothing.
The good news is that if you continue to work on your website in a smart and consistent manner then it’s just a matter of time until the website generates traffic – and as a result begins to make money!
It’s hard work, but for those who persevere – it’s very worth it!
