Affiliate Marketing Income Potential

Affiliate Marketing Income Potential

Affiliate Marketing Income Potential

Let me show you how much money I make in my affiliate marketing business. I’m not bragging by any means, just sharing information.

Any worthwhile business endeavor will test your patience, your seriousness, and probably your sanity as well. That’s just the way it goes. Some people are able to handle the challenge well, while others can really get beat up along their entrepreneurial journey.

I know from experience, the journey can kinda suck at times.

I find that I’m always coming across people who are curious about the affiliate marketing income potential. I suppose people just want to know what they can expect should they invest their time into building a business. It’s certainly a justifiable inquiry.

I’ll show you below how much money I make. The affiliate marketing income potential is awesome in this business, but another big variable that will greatly impact your success is how you stay motivated as you pursue your goals.

At first you are so excited because you are moving into something that is new and unknown. The potential is astounding and the energy is high. Usually though, after you run into some of the initial challenges (not problems) or being in business, things tend to take on a different perspective.

You see, some people see those “challenges” as ways that they can learn and improve themselves further. Sort of an iron sharpens iron kind of thing. Other people will let the occasional challenges suck all of the wind from their sails – then they have a hard time regaining their lost momentum.

I think a big part of how you react to the inevitable challenges that will be strewn along you path is the way you have your mindset dialed.

You can view the world as something that is out to destroy you.

Or –

You can choose to see the world as a generally good thing, and that the troubles that you will face as you grow you business will only serve to make you better and brighter.

I choose the latter, personally.

I know that growing a business is a tough thing to do.

There are times when everything seems to be going your way, then there are others when it feels like everything is set against you.

To be perfectly candid with my cherished audience, I will admit to you that as I type out this very message I am actually going through a bit of a slump with my Real Estate business. The market is changing and I’m having to restructure things so that the system will still run and produce like I want it to. It’s just the way it goes.

Stay motivated by focusing on the positive. For most people, keeping their minds tuned to the affiliate marketing income potential is likely a very good way to keep their minds on track. Certainly, the affiliate marketing income potential is great in this business, but there really so much more to it than just the money. For instance there’s also the freedom that come along with owning a business that will pay you regardless of whether you work on it or not.

Instead of getting down when things aren’t going your way, try to step back and reevaluate your position. Correct course if need be, but don’t just dwell on how bad everything is around you.

Get moving! Shake things up! Try something new!

As entrepreneurs we have to constantly stay moving. Keep on our toes, so to speak.

This website, as I’m sure you are aware, is built around the concept of Affiliate Marketing. As amazing as this business is, there are still times when you will bang your head against the wall.

It’s ok, I do it too from time to time.

I will certainly say that the most challenging part of this business is in the beginning. When you are first starting out in this business, you are putting a lot of effort and work towards something that you can’t really see just yet. That can be a very challenging thing for many people – myself included. Again, stay tuned to the affiliate marketing income potential. I know it might sound corny, but just knowing that all your efforts will come back to you in the form of cold-hard-cash is often the motivating factor that people need to keep moving forward.

Just working day after day on something that you really don’t have any guarantee will pay off is something that is unnerving for most people.

Still, the trick is to just stay the course, and keep plugging away so until you are able to grind through that initial stage of uncertainly.

What happens is that you will begin making some money after you work so hard for that first period of time. From there, you will have the confirmation that this business actually works!

Then the challenge isn’t to keep plugging forward in the dark, but it’s to grow your business to the next level.

Still, the work input is generally the same, but the goal becomes much more different. Once you make your first dollar in this business, things tend to get easier and easier.

You’ll make your first dollar.

You work some more.

Then you make your second dollar.

You work some more.

Then you bring in 10, then 50, then 200…

Things tend to grow quickly once you establish that first push of momentum in this business.

Once you work at it for a while, you’ll reach a point where you don’t feel like the battle is in your mind to keep up the momentum, but rather the battle is o take your business to the next level. To earn more that you did last week, or to double your income over the next 6 months. At some point, the game changes and it’s not all about the affiliate marketing income potential any longer – it’s about how far you can grow your business.

Before, long, you’ll end up having chunks of income hitting your account that look something like this –

affiliate marketing income potential

Interesting right? There you can see the affiliate marketing income potential plain as day. I mean, it’s not going to let me by a castle in Scotland anytime soon, but it is enough money for me to focus on things that are most important to me such as spending a lot of quality time with my friends and family.

In fact, if you need more proof, here is another website that posts their earnings report from blogging. You see, it’s very possible to earn a considerable income in this business.

The trickiest part is that you have to continue to put the work in even after you make that first dollar. You see, what some people have a tendency to do is to slack off once they make a buck. They thing that they’ve got it made in the shade at that point, but what they really need to to is to continue to press forward and keep the momentum growing, and GROWING!

I love this business. There’s nothing quite like it. The money is great. The fact that I can wake up in the morning and look at 12 new deposits in my Paypal account is something that now very many people get to experience. If that’s not proof of the affiliate marketing income potential, then I’m not sure what is!

It’s all possible for anyone who is willing to commit to a simple, basic process.

So yeah – the journey will challenge you, but in the end it’s very worth the effort.

Be encouraged!

Fight through the moments of doubt. Remember the affiliate marketing income potential. Remind yourself that the rewards of your efforts will far outweigh any feelings of uncertainty if you can simply press forward.

The affiliate marketing income potential is HUGE. Just stay motivated and continue making small steps towards your goals and before long you find that you’ve not only reached your goals, but you’ve surpassed them!

You Day #1 Lesson Is On The Way!

  1. Great article Ben, thank you! You are so right that there are slumps, I am also going through one right now where I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall.

I think what separates the successful affiliate marketer from the ones that fail is that it takes a good amount of work before any money is made. I started with affiliate marketing 4 months ago and I have not yet made an income. However I can see how my organic traffic has doubled in the last month,I am busy with setting up an email autoresponder and lots of little things that will increase my traffic and my subscribers.

Now just to make that first sale! How long do you think it usually takes to start making some sales?
(and yes I know the how long is a piece of string!)

    • Lynn,

Yes, the struggle is real. No doubt about it. Something changes though once you are profitable. From that point you have the proof that the business works, and the game changes a bit. You see, once you make your first buck, then you start thinking of ways to scale the business up, make it more predictable, and have more control on your income.

The autoresponder is a great thing to have. I use it primarily as a way to deliver my free 5 day course.

The “how long” question is an impossible one to answer. It depends 100% on the individual and the commitment they are able to make with themselves. Honestly, it could NEVER happen for someone who thinks that they can do very little work and the business is going to build itself. For most people, I think they can be making a very respectable income within their first year if they really hit it hard. Then, for a select few who REALLY do what it takes to make it happen, they could be bringing in 6 figures in a year.

It’s all possible, but it’s also highly variable based on the individual and how serious they are. The steps to building your business are very simple to follow, but unfortunately, there are few people that will be willing to put in the time, even though the process is very easy. That’s the the truth to just about anything in this world. The stuff that is very rewarding takes a lot of effort, and few people can put in the effort.

For those who CAN put in the effort, there’s nothing but great things to look forward to.

      Be encouraged.

  2. So cool you’ve been able to make such a great income online with affiliate marketing. How long has it taken for you to get to that point? How much did you make your first year. It may pay well, but can I make just as much working a regular job now? How long til I see an ROI on my time I put into affiliate marketing?

Just a few questions, hope it’s not too much.

    • Benjamin,

I dabbled in internet marketing for quite a while before I got serious about it and really buckled down. From beginning to the initial profits I’d say it took me about 3 months, but from the beginning to a point where substantial income was being produced was more like 3 years.

      Now, 2 things:

      1) If you follow the instructions on my course, you can be profitable within about a week. Had I know then what I know now, it wouldn’t have taken me 3 months to make my first buck.

      2) The really key to making this business work is COMMITMENT. If you just dabble, I do believe that you can create some extra income. However if your goal is to create enough money to do this stuff full-time, you have to really commit at a higher level, buckle down, and really treat this like the business that it is.

      Just my .02

  3. I agree 100% with you that the affiliate marketing income potential is HUGE. The Internet is such a huge platform that I always wanted to take advantage of. Lots of people surfing the web… plenty of them buying products…

If I am able to create my own website that means I will be able to promote my products or as an affiliate marketer other businesses products, and still earn a commission, right? Is that how it works?

    • Juan,

Yessir – that’s essentially how it works. You pick and interest or product, build a website around that product, and sell the product to your visitors. Of course, there are lot’s of little details that go into it as well, but for the most part it’s actually really straight-forward to build an income stream that you pay you over and over.

  4. Hi there Ben,

I love this article and a lot of what you mentioned reminds me when I first started affiliate marketing back in 2014. I didn’t know anything about WordPress, hosting/domains and all these fuss about SEO. This knowledge is so beyond my understanding – it’s like learning a foreign language altogether.

But I really want to achieve Time Freedom in my life and only an online business can provide me with that kind of lifestyle. Two years later, I am now familiar with plugins, keyword research and digging profitable niches. Even I am impress with my own progress.

  5. Well this is a little more like it – I’ve been stuck filling out surveys and clicking adverts for $10 a day tops over the last few months…I’m desperate to see some sort of proper wage online. Tell me, how long does it take to see good results through affiliate marketing? More specifically, how long did it take you?
