23 Best Online Marketing Blogs

23 Best Online Marketing Blogs

In the spirit of sharing great information, I’ve created this list of the 23 best online marketing blogs. Within these blogs is a goldmine of great information.

I know what you might be thinking – Aren’t these guys “competitors”? Nah – not really. This industry is so vast, and there’s more than enough opportunity to go around. Plus, I don’t think about it that way. Instead I have an abundance mentality and I’d prefer to think that by being an open book and sharing everything I know about this business, that it will come back to be in one way or another. Having that kind approach and being open minded has always served me better that being closed-off.

Since most people who read my blog and explore my website are hungry for great information about Online Marketing, it just seems right to create a resource that provides for that need. With that in mind, I’ve assembled what will be a great all-in-one resource page of other excellent websites.

Without further ado, here is my list of the 23 best online marketing blogs by category –

You Day #1 Lesson Is On The Way!

  1. Many of these sites I have not heard of before, other than SEO Book and Moz. The great thing about Moz is you can use it to do niche research. It has such a great list of categories and sub categories and sub sub categories, you can just keep digging until you find something you really like.

Oh, I’ve also heard of MailChimp too. We use that where I work. We have a monthly newsletter that we send out via MailChimp. It’s great for keeping track of your subscribers and viewing your stats. All really useful information for anyone interested in email marketing or even just keeping in touch with a large number of people via email. Do you use MailChimp yourself?

    • They there Marcus –
Yes this is a great resource list for anyone involved in online marketing. No, I don’t use MailChimp currently, but I have in the past. Currently my email marketing solution is through a company called MadMimi. For my uses, I’ve found MadMimi to be a good balance between features and price – I’ve been happy with them for probably the last 3 years or so.

  2. Very informative site! I’m such a newbie that I haven’t heard of any of the sites you mentioned, so I will have to come back and investigate more. It’s nice to have things all organized like that. One thing though, what don’t you want me to give myself looking at HubSpot? Somehow the punchline got deleted!

    • Nancy,

Glad you enjoyed the article. Thanks for pointing out the error. Always good to know that someone’s keeping me accountable. I did fix that mistake and now the post reads correctly. The “punchline” is now in place 😉

      Check it out.

Keep in touch Nancy and thanks for the comment!

  3. Nice one!! I haven’t heard of most of the resources you mentioned here, but I’m saving this page as a reference! I love having places that I can turn to when I don’t have the answer – these website’s you provided will be AWESOME to keep on hand!

Very informative stuff! I’ll be checking back here often.

Hope to see more of your good work!

    • Shrey,

Yes, glad you liked the post. This would be a good page to bookmark in your browser and refer back to anytime you need to find a relevant information source for whatever challenge you are facing.

  4. Wow, thanks for sharing all this great info!
I can’t wait to go and have a look at all these marketing blogs. I already follow Copyblogger and heard of a few that you have mentioned but for the most I am new to all that you have shared.
On the down side you have just added so much to my to do list that is already leaking into 2016!

    • Haha – yeah, sorry if I created more work for you.
They really are some awesome websites and resources that warrant their own exploration.
Thanks for the kind words about the website, and please keep in touch!

  5. Wow! Very impressive list of ressources that every Internet marketer out there ought to know. I only know some of them like SEO Book or Moz. I will take a closer look of content creation blogs because I want to improve my writing skills and speed. Very good article that anyone can bookmark fo further reference!

    • Thanks David,

Always nice to hear good feedback from folks. I do think this is an excellent list of resource websites that should pretty much cover all of the needs that most of us online marketers will have from time to time. Definitely a good idea to bookmark the page. Title it something like “Ben’s Rad List Of Resources”. That would seem fitting, right?

Also, for further reading and resource, be sure to stop by the Internet Marketing Tools page as well. Those are all the software packages and tools that I am currently using. Good stuff.

Thanks for stopping by, and especially THANKS for the comment!

  6. Great article. I have book marked it. You have given so much in this article. I thank you. I love your way of thinking. I agree it is always better to go to give instead of go to receive. There is something here for anyone who does business online. Great Job!

    • Gloria!

Thanks for the compliment. I try my best to give away as much as I can. With me and my website, there are no secrets. I reveal all, and in return, somehow it all comes back to me. Crazy how that works. Keep in touch and let me know anything I can do to help you along the way!

  7. Glad to see these. I am an active reader on a lot of the blogs you point out.

I have learned so much from copyblogger and Neil Patels stuff. I owe them.

I link to them often and people say to me why do you send people to your competitors. They are not my competitors. I am not even on the same planet as those blogs.

I think it’s about doing the best that I can to help the people that come to my website and when I think the big boys have more or better info than I can provide I send them on their way with my blessing.

Way to go man to have the confidence to share these sources with your readers. i applaud you.

Which couple of blogs are your favorite sources? Jon Morrow of boostblog is one of my favorites.

  8. Hi there Ben,

Definitely heard of SEO Book and Moz when I first started my online business. I am about to start on PPC soon and would really like to read more about it to make sure that my money is well spent.

I see the mentioning of PPC Heros. Do they offer any eBooks/course on PPC or it’s all just blog tips? Thank you for sharing the list.

  9. Wow, I mean, I like top 10 lists/videos a lot but 23? That’s two times the fun and more! In fact, I only knew about Mailchimp…sad haha…but now thanks to you I have these pretty options to check out. I believe a writer always needs to keep evolving, and never satisfy thinking “I know everything now”. That’s just my opinion though.

  10. What a wonderful list of marketing blogs – I know what I’ll be doing for the rest of the night!
I find that reading and leveraging what you read is the difference between success and failure – what do you think about this? Do you have a problem with leveraging off of ideas?
Whenever I am stuck for ideas I’m going to pop back to this page and find some inspiration – bookmarked!
