Focus & Motivation

Maintaining your focus is something that takes practice. Take it from someone who has been put through the ringer in order to become proficient in not 1, but 2 very different industries.

If you’ve been following along with my blog for any length of time, you probably know that I’m also involved in the Real Estate business. Real Estate is not for the faint of heart – and I don’t think that building an online marketing business is either. Both will test and try you every step of the way to be sure that you are “worthy” of success.

Anytime someone starts a new endeavor, it’s almost like there is a hazing period involved before you can really taste success. It’s exceedingly rare for someone to just jump into something new, go straight to the top, without any really challenge of setbacks.

That’s just the way it is when you set off to build something real and worthwhile.

Maintaining your focus and motivation along the way is key. Without both of those, you’re just spinning your wheels and wasting your time.

 

Eventually the novelty is going to wear off.

Anytime we set off on something new and exciting, we are initially filled with a sense of excitement and wonder. Business is no different. At first we are fired up and filled with energy. Of course, at first, we are also learning a lot of new things about the new direction we have decided to go in, new things that there is no way to learn about otherwise aside from experiencing them first hand.

Typically, we will run into challenges, set-backs, and uncertainty not long after we set off on our new and exciting journey – whatever it may be. That’s usually about the same time that we let those negative impacts take effect on our morale and energy level.

Not long after we start to get a taste of the downside of whatever new endeavor we have set off on, we will be tested. It’s how we handle those tests that have a HUGE effect on our overall success.

You see, we can take the challenges in stride, knowing that we will become stronger and more proficient as a result of the challenges – or we can allow ourselves to get beat-down. The challenges are all the same, the only difference is how you choose to perceive those challenges.

You have to get your mind in the right place. You have to anticipate that there are going to be problems and bumps along the way. That’s life – and anybody who expects for a new and worthwhile endeavor to be free of challenges and set-backs are fooling themselves into a false sense of reality.

Get your head on right – expect and welcome the challenges – and you’re setting yourself up for success.

The Attraction To Selling Stuff Online

There are a lot of upsides to this particular business model. Internet marketing has all sorts of upsides. One of the coolest things is that the cost of starting on online marketing, or affiliate marketing business, is that the cost to get started is extremely low. It’s this factor that attracts most people into the business.

The idea that you can rake in piles of money, automatically, without really investing any serious start-up capital is one that is intoxicating to many people. It’s that idea that traps people and can ultimately set them up for failure unless they understand the whole picture.

You see, while it’s entirely possible to build a business that runs automatically and brings in pile of cash – it takes time and commitment to build out such a system. Trouble is that a lot of people get caught up with an idea that they can “get rich quick”. While it’s entirely possible to build a business that will make you a ton of money online, it does take some hard work and a big commitment to the process – for as long as it takes.

 

You Can Do It

I’ve done it. My business and websites create streams of income. I’m nothing special at all. If I have any particular attribute that give me an edge – it’s that I simply don’t give up. Adopt the same attitude, work hard on your business and websites, and your success is practically guaranteed.
